Sydney has 16 years of experience with outreach, marketing and graphic design. She has a proven track record of helping natural resource managers, small business owners, and Tribal councils set up strategic outreach and marketing plans. She sparks effective participation and remarkable market response through:

Sydney took her established design and outreach business full time in 2003 and is currently working with clients in the nonprofit, business, local government, and state government sectors. She served as the Alaska Coastal Program Publications and Information Officer from 1996-2003. Prior to that she worked as a planner for Del Norte County in California, a communications coordinator for the Yurok Tribe, and has been running a part-time graphic design business since 1990.

Sydney's high energy approach to making projects a success was recognized in 2000 when her coastal management peers voted her "Coastal Management Pro" of the year. Her efforts to establish working partnerships to achieve more with less was recognized in 1999 with a Partnership Award from the national Coastal America organization. She has won design recognition for newsletters, home builder membership directories, innovative home show advertising campaigns, and trade show exhibits. In 1991, she used her communication and organizational skills to secure a grant and over $100,000 in donations and volunteer hours to construct the Crescent City Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Center in Crescent City, CA.
